The Metaverse. So, we have all heard about it. We can’t get away from it, to be honest. It’s as if every time we turn on the TV there is some news broadcast talking about it and how it is going to change the world and the way we live.
Well, maybe, but it’s going to take a little time before that happens.
Think of the Metaverse as a fusion of the real world and the digital one, creating a kind of supercharged online environment in which you can actually interact – perhaps even physically. Think beyond the usual apps and websites, or even what AR/VR tech offers today. This is a whole new level of digital interaction through a truly yet-to-be-defined emerging technology.
Right now, the Metaverse is still in its early stages, kind of like a toddler finding its feet. There’s a lot of buzz around what it might grow into, but the exact details? Well, those are still up in the air. It’s like we’re on the cusp of a major digital evolution, but we’re still figuring out what that really means.
The potential is huge, though, and it’s exciting to think about where it might lead us.
Here is a bit I wrote about The Metaverse Explained in Plain English and here is a little bit more about the Metaverse that I posted on Linkedin.
